Uniting and exemplifying its savoir-faire in the Barsac terroir and in white Bordeaux varietals, Château Coutet proudly announces the inaugural vintage of its new great dry white, Opalie de Château Coutet.
Vinified by the technical team of this Premier Grand Cru Classé, Opalie's elegance originates from the tradition, the expertise and the innovation from which it stems.
Precious like the opal gemstone and only available in limited quantities, Opalie is an incomparable white wine of a unique character, born from the alliance between men and nature.

Food & Wine Pairing

Cheese, especially Blue Cheese, is a classic when it comes to food and Sauternes pairing. Here is a great and incredibly easy way to experience the match: try our Honey and Roquefort Tartines for apéritif. A simple toasted slice of bread on top of which you spread butter, add Roquefort and drizzle honey, to pair with a relatively young Château Coutet such as the 2005 vintage. Enjoy!
